The Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) is seeking a dedicated and skilled WMO to provide high-quality patient care and effectively manage clinical documentation and patient care management systems. The ideal candidate will possess an MBBS degree with a valid PMDC license and have at least 3 years of relevant experience. This role involves applying expertise in electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical decision support systems (CDSS) to enhance patient outcomes and streamline care processes. The WMO will lead a team of 10 professionals, ensuring cohesive and efficient healthcare delivery within the organization.
Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage patient care by applying comprehensive medical knowledge and clinical skills.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date clinical records.
  • Implement Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) to assist in diagnostic and treatment decisions, improving patient safety and care quality.
  • Coordinate and lead a team of 10 healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration to achieve healthcare objectives and maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with medical protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements, including maintaining valid PMDC certification.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote understanding and efficient care planning.
  • Monitor patient care management systems to track health outcomes and identify areas for quality improvement.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and follow up on patient progress to ensure positive health results.
  • Train and mentor team members on the use of electronic health records and clinical decision support tools to enhance clinical effectiveness.
  • Manage clinical documentation and reporting processes to support audits, research, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Poverty Eradication Initiative to align healthcare services with organizational goals.
  • Stay current with advances in medical technology and healthcare best practices, applying new knowledge to improve service delivery.

Poverty is the root cause of every problem in the society, has no doubts worse affects on human life. Traditional gender roles in Pakistan especially in NWFP, which remains indulged in tribal culture, define the woman’s place as in the home and not in the workplace, and define the man as the breadwinner. Consequently, the society invests far less in women than men. Women in NWFP suffer more from poverty of opportunities throughout their lives as compared to other provinces. Economic vulnerability is a key factor in the rise of poverty in Pakistan; vulnerability also arises from social powerlessness, political instability, and ill-functioning institutions. Corruption and political instabilities such as various separatist movements in Baluchistan and Waziristan resulted in reduction of business confidence, deterioration of economic growth, reduced public expenditure, poor delivery of public services, and undermining of the rule of law. The root causes of current unrest in whole country especially FATA and FRS are linked with the absence of the opportunities for youth in all sections of life in general and particular in livelihoods. Active participation of the youth in decision making and development of the area is neglected and never given a chance to decide their fate. This made youth of the area frustrated and restless and compelled them to take part in the unhealthy activities. Poverty and the lack of modern curriculum have proved destabilizing factors for Pakistani society as these causes our youth to be exploited by religious organizations banned by the government to run schools and produce militant literature. Eradication of poverty cannot be brought about by charity, but needs first and foremost empowering the poor, focusing on women, and tapping their tremendous potential.
