Assistant Patern Master - Garments

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sample Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of garment samples, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and align with design specifications. This role is crucial in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Sample Development:
Collaborate with designers and product developers to create garment samples for woven and knit women's and kids' clothing.
Interpret design sketches and technical specifications to produce accurate and high-quality samples.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all samples meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
Conduct thorough inspections of samples to identify any defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments.
Pattern Making and Grading:
Develop and modify patterns for new and existing designs.
Grade patterns to different sizes while maintaining the integrity of the original design.
Fabric and Trim Selection:
Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories for samples.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Fit and Construction:
Conduct fitting sessions and make adjustments to ensure the perfect fit and construction of garments.
Provide feedback to designers and production teams on fit and construction issues.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of sample development, including patterns, fabric swatches, and fit notes.
Update sample tracking systems and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Sample Master in the garment industry, with a focus on woven and knit women's and kids' clothing.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and grading.
Proficiency in using pattern making software and tools.
Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
