The Pogram Support Officer plays a critical role in coordinating and overseeing health and nutrition programs to ensure their effective implementation and successful outcomes. This role involves managing a team of 20 persons, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and utilizing strong project coordination and risk management skills to maintain program quality and adherence to timelines. The officer will leverage expertise in integrated health strategies, including CMAM/IMAM, MNCH, ANC/PNC, to support program goals in humanitarian and development contexts. The ideal candidate holds an MBBS degree along with a Master of Public Health and brings a minimum of five years of professional experience in similar roles within health and nutrition sectors. This position requires a keen understanding of resource allocation, risk assessment, and project management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project. The Pogram Support Officer ensures seamless operation and continuous improvement of program activities through detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, and proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage integrated health and nutrition programs, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Lead and oversee a team of 20 professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management to achieve program objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project to facilitate effective resource allocation and task management.
  • Engage with stakeholders to foster strong partnerships and ensure alignment with program goals and community needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and apply risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges impacting program delivery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and reports on program progress, challenges, and outcomes for internal review and donor compliance.
  • Support the integration of specialized health components such as CMAM/IMAM, MNCH, and ANC/PNC into program frameworks to optimize impact.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations to enhance program design and implementation based on evidence and best practices.
  • Facilitate training and capacity building initiatives for team members and partners to strengthen program effectiveness.
  • Monitor budget allocation and expenditures in collaboration with finance to ensure resource optimization and compliance with funding requirements.
