Piffer Security Service are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting activities of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, general ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable
- Analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
- Assist with financial audits and tax filings
- Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance as needed
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to streamline operations
- Stay updated on industry developments and changes in regulations
Qualifications:
- Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification preferred)
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
