Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vessel scheduling to ensure timely arrivals and departures in line with port operations.
  • Manage and oversee cargo handling activities, ensuring efficient loading and unloading processes.
  • Prepare, process, and manage shipping documentation including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
  • Maintain accurate records of vessel movements, cargo status, and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate closely with port authorities, terminal operators, and shipping agents to streamline port and terminal operations.
  • Utilize shipping software to update and track shipment details, schedules, and documentation efficiently.
  • Plan cargo stowage to optimize space utilization while adhering to safety regulations and cargo requirements.
  • Ensure continuous communication with all relevant parties by providing timely updates and follow-ups on operational statuses.
  • Monitor compliance with local and international shipping laws and regulations throughout the shipping process.
  • Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize delays and operational disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships through effective interpersonal communication across various stakeholders.
