Educational Counselor

Pathways Global Education seeks a dedicated Educational Counselor to provide expert guidance and support to students aiming to pursue academic opportunities abroad. This role requires assessing students' academic profiles and career aspirations to recommend suitable universities, colleges, and programs across various countries including Germany and Europe. The counselor assists students through every stage of the application process, from preparing documents to meeting admission deadlines, while also offering advice on scholarships, tuition fees, and living expenses. Strong communication and counseling skills are essential to effectively guide students and parents through admission requirements, visa procedures, and cultural orientation before departure. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in student counseling, admissions, or education consultancy, with a minimum of 16 years of education. This role involves organizing education fairs, seminars, and promotional events, requiring good organizational and documentation skills. While managing a team is not part of this role, the counselor must be highly professional, empathetic, and knowledgeable about international education systems and visa processes. Additionally, sales and marketing skills can enhance the effectiveness of student recruitment within consultancy settings.

Responsibilities

Assess students' academic backgrounds and career goals to provide personalized education counseling focused on international study opportunities.
Recommend appropriate universities, colleges, and academic programs in various countries based on students’ profiles and preferences.
Assist students in preparing and submitting accurate and timely university applications, including managing documentation and meeting deadlines.
Guide students and parents through admission procedures, ensuring clear understanding of requirements and expectations.
Support students in the visa application process, providing comprehensive information on documentation, interview preparation, and compliance with regulations.
Advise students on scholarship opportunities, tuition fees, living expenses, and other financial considerations related to studying abroad.
Maintain detailed records of student applications, progress, and interactions to ensure efficient follow-ups and reporting.
Organize and participate in education fairs, seminars, and promotional events to enhance student awareness and engagement.
Conduct pre-departure orientations covering accommodation, travel logistics, cultural adaptation, and safety tips to prepare students comprehensively.
Collaborate with educational institutions and external stakeholders to stay updated on admission policies, visa regulations, and scholarship programs.
Utilize effective counseling techniques and active listening skills to address students’ concerns and provide emotional support throughout the application and transition process.
Apply sales and marketing strategies where applicable to enhance student enrollment and promote consultancy services professionally.
