An exciting and new opportunity to work within a fast growing industry. We are looking for someone with good technical knowledge of pharmacy and good personal skills to join our ever growing team. We are looking for an experienced dispenser to help our team of dispensary staff and support the delivery of an excellent and profitable service to our patients.
This opportunity involves relocation to the UK. Parklands Pharmacy will support the correct individual with the VISA and immigration process. Candidates are expected to make their own way to the UK and source their own accommodation.
The correct individual will also be managing all dispensers in the pharmacy and support the pharmacist on day-to-day activities.
Day-to-day activities include
- The Dispensary manager will carry out day-to-day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines
- Management of the dispensary team
- Maintain staff rota of dispensary staff and holiday planning
- To assist with stock control to minimize waste
- To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines
- To assist with the preparation of monitored dosage boxes
- Liaising with drug company representatives and negotiation of discount terms.
- Use of appropriate bodies/ associations to maintain an up-to-date understanding of current dispensing issues
- General housekeeping and expiry date checking in dispensary and Retail area
- Check and put away daily orders and file invoices
- Ensure a high standard of record keeping
- Check endorsements and patient declarations on prescriptions and file correctly
- Undertake all necessary cleaning duties
- Provide support to locum pharmacists to ensure the smooth running of the branch
- Promote good working relations with local surgeries and homes.
- Attend staff meetings and training events
- Be prepared to disseminate learning to colleagues
