Paragon City (Pvt.) Ltd seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in high-rise building projects to manage all cost-related aspects of multi-story residential, commercial, and mixed-use construction developments. This role involves overseeing budgeting, cost estimation, contract management, and procurement activities to ensure that projects are completed within budget while adhering to quality standards and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering and brings 7 years of industry experience focusing on high-rise constructions. The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimation, handling billing and progress payments, and maintaining comprehensive cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires advanced knowledge of construction billing software and cost control methodologies. While this position does not involve team management responsibilities, it demands strong independent decision-making and meticulous attention to detail to support project success within financial constraints.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for high-rise building projects to support accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Manage contract administration including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement activities by evaluating vendors and suppliers while maintaining cost efficiency and timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor billing and progress payments by verifying invoices, preparing payment schedules, and ensuring alignment with contract terms.
  • Implement and maintain budget control processes to track project expenses and mitigate cost overruns.
  • Produce comprehensive cost reports and financial analysis regularly to inform project stakeholders and assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize construction billing software effectively to manage documentation, automate cost tracking, and streamline administrative workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies related to contract scope and cost implications.
  • Review and evaluate variations and change orders to assess financial and scheduling impacts on the project.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, building codes, and company policies throughout the construction process.
  • Identify risks related to cost management and recommend mitigation strategies to protect project profitability.
  • Support audit and inspection processes by preparing necessary documentation and clarifications regarding cost controls.
