We are seeking a skilled and experienced .NET Backend Developer to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will play a critical role in building, integrating, and optimizing APIs, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable server-side solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality APIs and backend systems, managing configurations, and optimizing application performance.
Responsibilities:
- API Development & Integration:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET Core and ASP.NET.
- Integrate APIs with various frontend and backend systems, ensuring smooth and reliable data exchange.
- Configure API management tools and environments for secure, efficient operation.
- API Security & Compliance:
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth) to secure APIs.
- Ensure APIs comply with industry security standards and best practices.
- Apply robust error handling and data validation strategies for secure and reliable data processing.
- Performance Optimization:
- Optimize APIs for high performance and responsiveness, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
- Optimize database interactions using Entity Framework, SQL Server, and Oracle to enhance API performance.
- Monitor and fine-tune API response times and server performance.
- Configuration & Deployment:
- Manage and configure API environments, including development, staging, and production.
- Automate deployment processes for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure reliable deployment and configuration management.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, optimizing API performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, and project management) to support and enhance APIs.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in .NET Core and ASP.NET for building and managing APIs and server-side applications.
- Strong command of C# and .NET frameworks, with experience in designing secure, scalable APIs.
- Expertise in API security practices, including JWT, OAuth, and other authentication/authorization protocols.
- Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle, with experience in Entity Framework for data access and management.
- Knowledge of dependency injection, design patterns, and best practices in .NET.
- Familiarity with API management platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway) is a plus.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
- General Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative coding practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing, securing, and optimizing APIs with .NET Core and ASP.NET.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) for API hosting and management is a plus.
- Strong focus on secure, scalable API architecture and backend performance optimization.
