Retail Head Cashier

Pak Madina Store is seeking a skilled and experienced Retail Head Cashier to lead and oversee the cashier operations in a busy grocery store environment located in Al Rehman Garden Phase 2, Lahore. The ideal candidate possesses 3 to 5 years of experience in retail grocery cashiering, including supervisory responsibilities, and is adept at managing the daily cash handling processes with precision and integrity. This full-time position requires working 12-hour shifts and involves direct management of a team of three cashiers to ensure high standards of customer service, efficient transaction processing, and accurate cash reconciliation. The Retail Head Cashier plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence by guiding the cashier team, monitoring cash handling procedures, resolving customer payment concerns, and preparing detailed financial reports. This role demands excellent leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on organization to uphold company policies and ensure a smooth and compliant checkout process. The candidate must be dependable, honest, and committed to fostering a positive shopping experience for customers through effective team leadership and thorough oversight of cashier activities.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of three cashiers, ensuring they follow company policies and provide excellent customer service.

Manage daily cash handling operations, including monitoring transactions, reconciling cash at the end of shifts, and addressing discrepancies.

Operate and train the cashier team on Point of Sale systems and cash management software to streamline transaction processing and improve operational efficiency.

Resolve customer complaints relating to payments and transactions courteously and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.

Prepare daily financial reports detailing cash receipts, shortages, and overages, and communicate findings to management.

Ensure all cash reconciliation procedures are followed accurately to prevent errors and loss.

Maintain organized inventory records in collaboration with inventory management processes to support store audits and stock control.

Implement and enforce compliance with company policies and operational procedures across the cashier team.

Conduct training sessions and ongoing coaching for cashiers to enhance their skills in transaction processing and customer interaction.

Monitor checkout operations to ensure efficiency, reduce wait times, and promote a smooth flow during peak business hours.

Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively to maintain a safe and secure cash handling environment.
