TierLogic builds enterprise software for smart buildings and connected infrastructure. We are growing the engineering team to take our platform from first deployment into commercial rollout.
The RoleWe are looking for a Blockchain Engineer to design and build the verifiable data and credential layer of an enterprise platform. The work covers tamper resistant audit trails, digital credential issuance and verification, and smart contracts that automate agreements between commercial parties.
This is applied blockchain engineering inside a production SaaS product, not research and not a token project.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and deploy smart contracts, and own them through audit and release.
- Build a tamper evident ledger for high volume event data, with sensible on chain and off chain data separation.
- Implement credential issuance, verification and revocation, including decentralized identifier and verifiable credential patterns.
- Automate contractual, billing and settlement logic through smart contracts where it reduces manual reconciliation.
- Build and maintain the integration layer between blockchain services and the core backend through documented APIs and event pipelines.
- Own key management, wallet handling and signing infrastructure to production security standards.
- Optimise gas, throughput and cost, and select or justify the chain, sidechain or permissioned network the platform runs on.
- Write unit, integration and adversarial tests, and coordinate third party smart contract audits.
- Document architecture, threat models and integration contracts for the wider engineering team.
- Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on blockchain development.
- Strong Solidity and EVM experience, with production contracts deployed and maintained.
- Hands on with Hardhat or Foundry, ethers.js or web3.js, and standard testing and deployment tooling.
- Working knowledge of permissioned or enterprise chains such as Hyperledger Fabric, Polygon Super nets or Quorum.
- Solid grasp of cryptographic fundamentals: hashing, digital signatures, Merkle structures, key derivation and secure key storage.
- Smart contract security expertise: reentrancy, access control, oracle manipulation, integer and rounding issues, upgrade and proxy risks.
- Strong backend skills in Node.js or TypeScript, with REST and event driven integration experience.
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL, AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to explain trade offs clearly, including when a blockchain is the wrong tool for a requirement.
- Decentralized identity standards: W3C DIDs, verifiable credentials, SSI frameworks.
- IPFS, Arweave or similar decentralized storage.
- Exposure to IoT or machine generated data at scale.
- Zero knowledge proof tooling, or oracle frameworks such as Chain-link.
- Rust, Go or Move, and non EVM ecosystems.
- Prior work in a multi tenant B2B SaaS environment.
