This role focuses on managing and coordinating daily logistics operations to ensure efficient processing of shipments from booking through to final delivery. The position demands clear and consistent communication with customers, agents, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth transportation and timely resolution of any issues that may arise. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate shipments across various modes including Full Container Load (FCL), Less than Container Load (LCL), air freight, and courier services, managing the entire process from booking to delivery. Prepare and handle essential shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (B/L), Air Waybills (AWB), invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork. Liaise effectively with shipping lines, airlines, freight agents, customs brokers, and customers to ensure seamless operations. Obtain and negotiate freight rates and quotations with carriers and overseas agents to secure competitive pricing. Monitor shipment schedules by tracking Estimated Time of Departure (ETD), Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), vessel and flight details, and cargo status updates. Manage export and import documentation and coordinate customs clearance processes efficiently. Follow up on booking confirmations, shipping instructions, Container Release Orders (CRO), Master Bill of Lading (MBL), House Bill of Lading (HBL) releases, and delivery orders. Address and resolve operational issues such as delays, documentation discrepancies, and customer inquiries promptly. Ensure all shipments comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), carrier requirements, and relevant regulations. Maintain accurate shipment records and provide regular status updates to customers. Support the sales team by offering competitive freight rates and assessing operational feasibility for new business inquiries. Coordinate with overseas partners to manage door-to-door and destination delivery services. Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, agents, and logistics partners to enhance service quality.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures is required. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary to interact effectively with carriers, agents, and customers. The ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail is critical. Proficiency in monitoring shipment schedules and handling operational challenges is expected. Familiarity with company SOPs, carrier requirements, and regulatory compliance in logistics is important. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records are also required.
Compensation and Work Location
The position offers a starting salary of Rs 30,000 per month. This is an in-person role requiring attendance at the designated work location.
