OneContact Tech is seeking an experienced Senior React Native Developer to lead the creation and enhancement of cross-platform mobile applications for their North American client. This role focuses on shaping architecture, raising quality standards, and delivering robust features that operate seamlessly on both iOS and Android platforms. The developer will be responsible for owning the mobile codebase end-to-end, from writing clean and reusable components to managing app releases in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This position requires close collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-performing and stable apps that users rely on daily.
The ideal candidate brings over seven years of professional software development experience, including at least four years specializing in React Native. While this role does not involve managing a team, the individual must provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship within a fast-moving, agile environment. A strong focus on maintainability, scalability, and best development practices is essential. The developer stays updated with the latest mobile development trends and continuously improves the existing app architecture while ensuring excellent communication and cooperation with all team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and upkeep of high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, plan, and implement new app features and enhancements.
- Build clean, reusable, and scalable components with a focus on maintainability.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, authentication systems, and various third-party services.
- Optimize mobile applications for performance, responsiveness, and stability on both iOS and Android devices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold coding standards and provide technical mentorship to peers.
- Manage the app release cycle, including configuring builds, handling continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and submitting apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Identify areas of technical debt and implement improvements to enhance the existing mobile architecture.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to design and execute automated and manual testing strategies that ensure app reliability and minimize regressions.
- Stay informed about emerging mobile development trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance development processes and app quality.
- Implement secure data storage techniques, offline data handling, and push notification functionalities.
- Use Git for version control and participate actively in agile workflows such as Scrum or Kanban to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes.
