As a sourcing/procurement associate for an e-commerce business, you will be responsible for purchasing a wide variety of products and materials needed to support and grow the online store. We are looking for someone eager to learn, proactive, problem solver, and a fast learner. If you don’t have the skill sets but are ready to learn, we will train you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching and sourcing new products to add to the online store specifically in China
- Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers and manufacturers
- Processing orders and monitoring deliveries to ensure the timely arrival of products
- Maintaining accurate records of purchases and spending
- Collaborating with the marketing team to identify and pursue new product trends and opportunities
- Analyzing market trends and staying up-to-date on industry developments
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve the procurement process and reduce costs
- Ensuring all purchases are made in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Experience with procurement and supply chain management
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and tools
- Knowledge of market trends and industry developments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, supply chain management) is preferred but not required.
- Highly trainable and have a strong desire to learn
