Background/Purpose:
WHO supports the Federal EPI Programs in implementing immunization service delivery and campaigns (MR, TCV, and outbreak response), which requires close tracking of vaccine and logistics stock through vLMIS at the national and provincial levels. This includes managing international vaccine shipments and ensuring 24/7 temperature monitoring of cold rooms and freezer rooms at the FDI warehouse. To meet these operational needs, additional warehouse resource is required to support shipment management, cold chain monitoring, and stock management at FDI Islamabad.
Tasks to be performed:
Under the direct supervision of the first-level supervisor, the incumbent will carry out the following tasks:
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and unloading vaccine shipments and cold chain supplies.
- Verify received consignments against delivery notes, packing lists, and shipment documentation.
- Organize cold boxes, vaccine carriers, conditioned ice packs, and packing materials for outbound shipments.
- Assist in maintaining shipment documentation and filing records for receipt and dispatch activities.
- Provide 24/7 temperature monitoring of walk-in cold rooms through morning/evening shifts, ensuring smooth functionality and timely issue reporting to the technician/engineer on duty.
- Support FDI operations in managing international vaccine shipments and stacking vaccines in cold rooms as per WHO standards.
- Support the timely, batch-wise issuance of vaccines and logistics to provinces and areas from cold rooms. Support the preparation, packing, labeling, and dispatch of vaccines and immunization commodities to provinces and other designated facilities.
- Comply with warehouse SOPs, Good Storage Practices (GSP), and occupational health and safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of warehouse premises and cold chain facility.
- Undertake any other related tasks, as and when assigned by the supervisor.
Recruitment Profile
Education:
- Essential: Secondary School Certificate
- Desirable: Basic knowledge of vaccine cold chain and warehouse operations
Experience:
- Essential: At least two (02) year of experience preferably in office /administrative support.
- Desirable: Prior experience in health sector or development organization offices.
