The Accounts Manager leads a team of five accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure all accounts operations meet high standards of accuracy and efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong analytical skills and proficiency in ERP and account reconciliation software, enabling seamless financial processes and reporting. The Accounts Manager collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to gather financial data, support budget creation, and facilitate audit processes, contributing to strategic decision-making within OEM. Success in this position relies on a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles combined with strong supervisory and interpersonal skills to manage the accounting team effectively while upholding rigorous compliance and operational standards.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team of five professionals, ensuring timely and accurate completion of daily accounting tasks and monthly closing activities.
  • Manage the general ledger including preparation, review, and reconciliation to guarantee accurate financial records.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all payments and collections are processed accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities by collecting financial data, analyzing variances, and preparing relevant reports for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation laws and regulations by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and timely filing of tax returns.
  • Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard the companys assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain and update ERP software and account reconciliation software to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Support external and internal audit processes by providing requested documentation and resolving queries.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and support strategic financial planning.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize accounting processes and reduce risk of errors.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for company operations.
  • Manage invoicing processes and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to billing.
