Import Executive

Oasis Packaging is seeking a detail-oriented Import Executive with a minimum of three years of experience in import operations and logistics. The ideal candidate ensures seamless import processes by managing all aspects related to customs compliance, import documentation, and coordination with suppliers and freight forwarders. This role demands thorough knowledge of import regulations and documentation standards to guarantee timely delivery and clearance of goods.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the complete import documentation process including bill of lading, import compliance documentation, and clearance paperwork.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and import laws to prevent delays and maintain company standards.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to organize shipments and resolve operational issues.
Process and verify the accuracy of freight forwarding and bill of lading documentation to facilitate smooth transportation.
Monitor import shipments from origin to destination, tracking progress and resolving any discrepancies encountered during transit or customs clearance.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all import activities to support audits and reporting requirements.
Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and proper handling of imported goods.
Review and update import compliance policies to align with changing international trade regulations and internal company procedures.
Liaise with customs officials and regulatory agencies to facilitate inspections and approvals as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in import operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Address and resolve import-related queries from internal departments and external vendors timely and efficiently.
