Job Summary
We are a real estate company looking for a responsible bookkeeper to perform a variety of tasks and support our team including but not limited to details listed below in the Responsibilities and Duties section.
This is a full-time position.
Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (US Eastern time zone), Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintains records of financial transactions by categorizing transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; and defining bookkeeping policies and procedures weekly.
- Reconciling bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Prepare and monitor financial transactions and reports.
- Processing accounts receivable and payable.Processing checks.Understanding ledgers.Working with an accountant when necessary.Handling weekly payroll using accounting software.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software is preferred.
- Previous solid job-related or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Able to prepare, review, and understand a financial statement
- Ability to organize, and prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to work independently under direct supervision.
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be detailed, deadline oriented.
- Respect for “confidentiality” involving all work-related activities.
