We are looking for a responsible and driven lady who enjoys engaging with clients, and problem solving.  You will be looking after the overall operation of the salons which includes but is not limited to HR management, Client relations, Vendor relations, Stock management, Internal accounting, Marketing, etc. You will ensure that a consistently high standard is maintained and exceeded in all departments, in accordance with the Salon’s business directives. Ultimately, you will help boost our reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with customers, vendors and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Human Resource Administration

  • Manage employee performance, and keep score of their performance for recommendations for promotions/bonuses/firing to Salon Director
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and develop exceptional professionals to improve salon performance
  • Strive to provide opportunities for staff training in the latest techniques in the cosmetology industry,
  • Manage and prepare weekly work schedules and approve service schedule changes and requests for time off to ensure adequate coverage
  • Plan and conduct team-building exercises to promote comradery and loyalty to the brand

Salon Administration

  • Ensure that service standards are kept at a high level for guests according to Salon SOPs and service standards
  • Ensure adequate repair and maintenance of salon tools, appliances, furniture, lighting, etc.
  • Ensure maintenance of backup power (generator and UPS) plus timely refueling of generator and wet batteriesManage an efficient laundry management system
  • Develop and maintain accurate maintenance procedures and checklists
  • Ensure an efficient record-keeping of invoices and receipts

Business Administration

  • Ensure the salon is profitable according to budgetary guidelines
  • Manage and maintain a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and products and conduct service cost analysis to ensure an efficient inventory control system with par stock levels
  • Source high-quality and trending hair & skin care products for salon
  • Maintain and submit salon documentation/paperwork for financial reporting
  • Schedule a meeting with the Salon Director bi-weekly to discuss housekeeping
  • Assist in maintaining a database of all clientele
  • Ensure timely payments of utility bills and inventory expenses
  • Manage business relationships with all external vendors

Client Relations

  • Gather and monitor guest feedback through different tools including comment cards, online reviews, and personal conversation
  • Receive and resolve client complaints. Follow-up.
  • Conduct weekly calls to random clients to get their feedback and compare them with client logs and notes in the system to improve client relations and retention.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable management experience
  • 4 years of administrative experience
  • Fluency in English and Urdu
  • Competency in computer usage specifically MS Word and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems
  • Effective leadership skills and strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational, record-keeping, analytical and problem-solving/conflict-resolution skills
  • Motivated, professional manner, discretion and appearance
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and professional manner with all levels of personnel
  • Excellent communication abilities with a customer service attitude
  • Ability to accurately meet deadlines and perform independently in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet constant deadlines and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to multi-task successfully and adapt to rapid change
  • Ability to build employee trust and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate calm, poise, tact, and diplomacy in stressful circumstances and when interacting with those encountered in the course of work, some of whom may be demanding, dissatisfied or upset
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time

Normal work hours: 10:30 a.m. to closing time (around 8:30 pm)
