Job Title: CIMA Qualified Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CIMA-qualified accountant with a degree to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support to drive business performance and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage financial models to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports to senior management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze costs to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting updates.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to various departments in budget preparation.
  • Collaborate with business units to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a finance business partner to non-financial managers, helping them understand the financial implications of their decisions.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate governance standards.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to improve financial and operational performance.
  • Ensure financial systems are maintained and updated to support reporting and analysis needs.
  • Streamline and improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • CIMA qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management accounting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
