The Assistant Operations Manager - IT & Surveillance Systems will oversee and manage the technical operations of both IT and surveillance systems to ensure seamless functionality, reliability, and security. This role involves coordinating the management and optimization of network infrastructure, server operations, and surveillance systems, focusing on secure, high-performance service delivery. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical IT expertise, experience in surveillance technology, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

IT & Surveillance Systems Management:

Oversee and manage daily operations of IT and surveillance infrastructure, including server management, network architecture, and video surveillance systems.
Ensure the integration, configuration, and maintenance of video management systems (VMS), IP cameras, access control, and related security technologies.
Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues within both IT and surveillance systems, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime.

Technical Infrastructure Oversight:

Manage network setup, system security, and infrastructure scalability for IT and surveillance systems.
Implement policies and protocols for secure data storage and retrieval, focusing on both IT and surveillance data integrity.
Develop and enforce best practices for system performance, backup solutions, and data retention for surveillance footage.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

Lead and mentor a team of IT and surveillance technicians, engineers, and support staff.
Conduct performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and facilitate ongoing training for technical growth.
Serve as an escalation point for complex IT and surveillance system issues, providing hands-on support and guidance as needed.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

Oversee the implementation of cybersecurity protocols for IT systems and surveillance networks, ensuring comprehensive protection of sensitive data.
Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and security checks to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure surveillance systems adhere to legal standards on privacy and data security, managing data retention and access controls.

Process Optimization and Documentation:

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT and surveillance operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in workflows.
Analyze operational processes and implement improvements to enhance system uptime, reduce incident response times, and streamline operations.
Maintain thorough documentation for system configurations, network diagrams, and operational protocols for both IT and surveillance systems.

Project Management and System Upgrades:

Lead IT and surveillance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with other departments to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational needs.
Oversee the deployment of new surveillance technology and upgrades to IT infrastructure, coordinating with vendors and contractors.
