Accounts Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Account Officer to support our Accounts department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The candidate should have work experience in a UK Based Company or within the UK market. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts.
Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax returns
Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support auditors during financial audits.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to management to support decision-making.

Requirements:

Masters's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven work experience as an Account Officer or similar role within a UK-based company or market.
Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and regulations.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
