Responsibilities:

  1. Leading and managed a team of mechanical design engineers and guiding them in their day-to-day activities for fulfillment of deadlines.
  2. Overseeing the design, development and testing of mechanical systems, components and equipment.
  3. Coordinating with cross-functional teams for ensuring that designs are feasible, cost-effective and in compliance with all the required standards and regulations.
  4. Managing project timelines, resources and risk assessments for ensuring that all mechanical design projects are completed on time and within the approved budgets.
  5. Designing and developing mechanical components and systems (conception to production).
  6. Ensuring the creation and modification of 3D CAD models using tools, such as, SolidWorks or Pro/E.
  7. Conducting engineering calculations, performing tolerance analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD for validation of all mechanical designs.
  8. Developing prototypes and ensuring proper testing of all products/solutions before validating and approving the mechanical design structure.
  9. Identifying potential risks associated with the design, development and use of mechanical structures and systems along with developing a strategy for mitigating those risks.
  10. Interacting with vendors and suppliers to ensure best quality material at most effective costs.
  11. Staying updated with the recent technological advancements in mechanical engineering and working on those to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the organization.
  12. Overseeing the creation and maintenance of all necessary documentation.
  13. Liaising with the Sales Team to brief them on the benefits so they can incorporate the same among their sales teams for improving sales volume.
  14. Training junior engineers and technicians to take up higher roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
  2. Having a professional Engineering certification shall be a plus point.
  3. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar or related field with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the field of Mechanical Engineering.
  4. Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes along with strong knowledge of CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  5. Shall possess strong project management, leadership, and multi-tasking skills with excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  6. Should be able to apply innovative techniques to real-time products and solutions for creating products or projects for global audiences.
