Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Manager Accounts & Finance will play a critical role in capital planning for expansion and upgrades within the cinema chain. The successful candidate leads and mentors a team of four professionals in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and audit functions, ensuring smooth operation and accuracy across the financial department. Strong financial leadership skills will be used to manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and various key vendors, including distributors and suppliers. This role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable business taxes, managing ERP systems like Oracle or NetSuite for financial reporting and cost management, and providing data-driven insights on per-screen and per-location profitability to support strategic commercial decisions.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounts, finance, and audit functions supporting cinema operations including box office revenue and concession accounting.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with detailed variance analysis.
  • Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across multiple cinema sites.
  • Manage reconciliation between POS and ticketing systems with the general ledger to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls over cash handling, ticket sales, and revenue recognition across locations.
  • Oversee statutory compliance, tax filings, and coordinate activities with external auditors to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable tax laws and ensure timely and accurate compliance with organizational obligations.
  • Administer ERP financial systems for accurate financial reporting, cost control, and process optimization.
  • Analyze profitability metrics per screen, location, and movie title to optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Support capital expenditure planning for cinema openings, technology upgrades, and equipment investments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals handling accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and audits.
  • Manage effective relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and key external vendors including distributors and suppliers.
  • Present financial results, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and board members.
  • Perform additional financial and administrative duties as assigned by senior management.
