Nawab Housing Associates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join its team at its Peshawar office. As the accountant, you will be responsible for managing all traditional accounting and bookkeeping tasks associated with the business. This role is vital to ensure the financial integrity and compliance of the organization's operations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Recording: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements.

Bookkeeping: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of brokerage transactions, client accounts, and general ledger accounts.

Client Account Management: Monitor and reconcile client accounts, including fund transfers, margin calls, and account statements.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan) requirements.

Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights to management.

Auditing: Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, responding to audit queries and implementing recommendations as necessary.

Record Keeping: Maintain an organized and comprehensive system for all financial and accounting documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping regulations.

Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, including cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Compliance and Operations, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Continual Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting and financial processes and implement best practices to optimize efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CA are a plus.
  2. 2-3 years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience.
  3. Familiarity with Pakistan's financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  9. A proactive and adaptable mindset to handle the dynamic nature of the financial industry.
