Draftsman

Namal Education Foundation is seeking a skilled and versatile multi-discipline Draftsman (Civil, Structural, Architectural & Electrical) to support civil, structural, architectural, and electrical drafting requirements across ongoing and upcoming development projects. The candidate will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce accurate, coordinated technical drawings and construction documents across all disciplines using industry-standard software.

CIVIL & STRUCTURAL

▪        Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, foundations, and reinforcement details using AutoCAD.

▪        Interpret engineering sketches, calculations, and specifications and convert them into accurate, construction-ready technical drawings.

▪        Produce as-built drawings and update site drawings to reflect approved design changes during construction.

▪        Support engineers in preparing BOQs and material takeoffs derived from structural drawings.

▪        Conduct site visits to verify dimensions, gather field measurements, and validate drawings against actual conditions.

ARCHITECTURAL

▪        Prepare architectural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, and finishing schedules.

▪        Draft detailed architectural working drawings for submission to contractors and regulatory bodies.

▪        Develop door, window, and joinery schedules along with material and finish specifications.

▪        Coordinate architectural drawings with structural and MEP disciplines to identify and resolve clashes before construction.

▪        Assist in the preparation of presentation layouts and design visuals for internal approvals when required.

ELECTRICAL

▪        Prepare electrical layout drawings including power distribution plans, lighting layouts, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules.

▪        Draft electrical schematic and wiring diagrams for LV systems, DB layouts, earthing, and cable routing plans.

▪        Develop conduit routing, cable tray layouts, and containment drawings for building services installations.

▪        Coordinate electrical drawings with civil, structural, and architectural plans to ensure clash-free integration of services.

▪        Assist electrical engineers in preparing load schedules, material lists, and BOQs from electrical drawings.

▪        Update electrical drawings to reflect site modifications and maintain accurate as-built records upon project completion.

GENERAL

▪        Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and document control records in accordance with project standards.

▪        Assist in the preparation of tender and contract drawing packages for clients and contractors.

▪        Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and Namal’s internal design guidelines.

▪        Perform any other related duties as assigned by the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

▪        DAE in Civil or Electrical Engineering; B.Tech or Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.

▪        3–7 years of hands-on experience covering civil, structural, architectural, and/or electrical drafting.

▪        Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; experience with Revit, ETAP, or SketchUp is a plus.

▪        Sound understanding of civil, architectural, and electrical drawing conventions and standards.

▪        Familiarity with LV electrical systems, single-line diagrams, and building services drawings.

▪        Ability to read and coordinate multi-discipline drawings across civil, architectural, and electrical disciplines.

▪        Working knowledge of MS Office — Word and Excel.

▪        Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary project teams.

▪        High attention to detail and accuracy across all drawing disciplines.

▪        Good communication skills with the ability to take and action technical briefs promptly.
