Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Accountant to join our gym's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining petty cash, updating sales records, managing the ledger, and providing monthly financial reports specific to our gym's operations.

Maintain and manage the gym's petty cash accounts.
Ensure accurate recording of all petty cash transactions, including expenses for gym supplies, maintenance, and miscellaneous items.
Accurately record and update daily sales transactions, including membership fees, class fees, and merchandise sales.
Verify the accuracy of sales figures and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate revenue tracking.
Update and maintain the gym's general ledger.
Ensure the ledger is balanced and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare and submit monthly financial reports tailored to the gym's financial activities. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements, highlighting key financial metrics relevant to gym operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably within the fitness or service industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
