Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical assessments of water supply and sanitation schemes for ongoing and new projects.
  • Perform technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations and ER surveys.
  • Ensure smooth project execution, completing structures within budget, design specifications, and timelines.
  • Develop design procedures, prepare BOQs, and manage payment documentation.
  • Maintain quality and quantity during implementation, measuring and recording quantities in Measurement Books.
  • Prepare AutoCAD drawings of schemes, perform market analyses, and develop detailed specifications to meet quality standards.
  • Evaluate the sustainability and environmental impacts of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements for all projects.
  • Schedule material and equipment purchases, and site deliveries as needed.
  • Support assessment tasks and provide recommendations related to projects.
  • Offer technical solutions for WASH schemes involving civil works.
  • Contribute technical inputs to projects such as infrastructure, latrine construction, hand pump installation, water supply, and sanitation schemes at the community and institutional levels.
  • Assist in designing cost-effective and preferred school structures and preparing bidding documents.
  • Collaborate closely with line managers and communities to plan activities at the field level.
  • Advise and provide technical support to communities as needed and assist with their technical training upon request.
  • Design and deliver operation and maintenance training for schools and communities as required by the project.
  • Work with social mobilizers, offering technical expertise in the field, particularly for the sustainability of water and     sanitation schemes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with contractors to ensure timely implementation and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide monthly progress updates to the line manager on all ongoing project/program activities.
  • Offer technical support for water quality monitoring.
  • Any other task assigns by the line Manager.
