We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Team Lead - Transition with over 6 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level database design and development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing database development teams, collaborating with technical and functional partners, and transforming raw data into critical insights. This role requires a strategic thinker who can architect scalable, high-quality databases and data processing systems primarily using MS SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Manage and mentor a team of database developers.
    • Conduct SQL code reviews and approve deployment documents adhering to the best quality standards.
    • Train and mentor other database developers.
  • Database Architecture and Development:

    • Collaborate with technical and functional partners to build new data solutions.
    • Analyze business application requirements, identify concerns, and develop action plans.
    • Architect new databases and data processing systems to deliver scalable, highly available, maintainable, cross-region solutions.
    • Proficiently develop solutions using SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored procedures, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
  • Project Management:

    • Spearhead architecture and code initiatives in projects.
    • Influence the data strategy of your team through expert design and development.
    • Develop environment specifications, benchmark performance scenarios, and monitor environments.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Conduct SQL code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging.
    • Create technical documentation and training materials.
    • Knowledgeable in data integration and/or data migration design and implementation, data management principles, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in computer science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:

    • 6+ years of hands-on enterprise-level database design and development experience.
    • Proven experience managing a database development team.
    • Experience architecting and influencing data strategy and designing modern, scalable databases.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored procedures, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
    • Strong knowledge of TSQL/PgSQL coding, stored procedures, views, troubleshooting, and debugging.
    • Experience with Visual Studio is an added advantage.
    • Knowledgeable in data integration, data migration design, and implementation.
    • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
