MS - FDL - Operation Architect - Manager

EY, based in Hyderabad, is looking for an experienced Operations Architect Manager to lead the development and management of scalable enterprise data product platforms that support finance transformation initiatives. This role serves as a critical link between architecture, engineering, and operational excellence, focusing on platform scalability, delivery execution, and team leadership. The successful candidate will apply strong technical expertise and operational discipline to deliver solutions across key finance domains such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This position offers a unique opportunity to influence data platform strategy, define engineering standards, establish delivery governance, and drive business value through data-driven solutions within EY’s Global Delivery Services network.

Key Responsibilities

Technology & Architecture Leadership: Own the architecture roadmap for scalable data platforms that underpin finance transformation programs. Design secure, cloud-native, and scalable data platforms and analytics solutions. Set architecture standards and best practices across data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers. Encourage the adoption of modern data technologies such as data lakes, lakehouse architectures, orchestration tools, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions. Work closely with DevOps teams to oversee CI/CD pipelines and release management. Lead incident management and resolution efforts to maintain platform stability.

Delivery & Operational Excellence: Manage end-to-end delivery governance across multiple concurrent projects. Implement scalable delivery frameworks incorporating Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies. Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics to ensure platform reliability and scalability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing engineering productivity, quality, and release processes. Ensure that data governance, compliance, quality, and security standards are fully integrated into platform operations.

Team Leadership & Talent Management: Lead diverse teams comprising data engineers, architects, analysts, and DevOps professionals. Cultivate a high-performance culture that values accountability, innovation, and measurable business outcomes. Oversee workforce planning, skills development, and technical upskilling. Mentor team members to foster technical excellence, effective problem-solving, and strong stakeholder engagement.

Business & Stakeholder Management: Partner with business leaders, finance transformation teams, and clients to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions. Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Support solution design, proposal development, and client discussions by providing architecture and delivery expertise. Communicate program status, risks, and value realization to executive stakeholders.

Platform & Product Leadership: Champion a product-centric mindset emphasizing scalability, modularity, and reusability. Identify opportunities to standardize and package solutions into reusable assets and platform capabilities. Enable advanced analytics and AI-driven insights to unlock greater value from finance data.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. Candidates should have 12 to 18+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, and delivery leadership roles. Proven ability to lead large-scale engineering teams within enterprise environments is essential. Expertise with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is expected. Strong knowledge of data architecture patterns including data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse implementations is necessary. Hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools and frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and DBT is required. Familiarity with API-driven architectures, microservices, and integration frameworks is important. A solid understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements is critical. Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale data and transformation programs is essential. Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE practices is required. Knowledge of corporate finance processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, and FP&A is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience in professional services or consulting environments is advantageous. Exposure to AI/ML-enabled analytics platforms and intelligent automation is desirable. Experience in building enterprise-wide reusable platforms and data products is a plus. Relevant certifications in cloud, architecture, or data engineering are preferred.
