We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator with expertise in pensions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and thorough knowledge of pension administration. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to compliance requirements, and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality

Job Responsibilities: 

  •  Process payroll for employees or clients on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, ensuring accurate computation of salaries, wages, and overtime.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits to employees.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from clients regarding wages, deductions, and timekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and accounting departments as needed.
  • Assist with payroll audits and reconciliation of payroll accounts.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and consultants on pension audits and regulatory filings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator with a focus on pensions, ideally in a complex organizational setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, pension administration, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex), with experience in pension management systems a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is advantageous.
  • ACCA, CA is a Plus.
