Mit International is seeking an experienced Button Manufacturing Machine Technician to operate and maintain our specialized Italian brand Bonetti & Giusi machinery. This legacy mechanical model has been in use for nearly 20 years and requires a technician with solid practical experience to ensure smooth and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of hands-on experience working with similar mechanical manufacturing equipment and possess a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks. In this role, the technician will lead a team of four individuals, coordinating daily machine operations and maintenance activities. The position demands a proactive approach toward machine care and effective communication skills to manage and guide the team. The technician will also work closely with production management to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime, ensuring quality output and maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities

Operate and monitor the Bonetti & Giusi button manufacturing machine to ensure consistent and efficient production.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep the legacy mechanical model running optimally.
Diagnose mechanical issues quickly and implement effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
Lead and supervise a team of four technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance.
Collaborate with production management to schedule machine usage, coordinate maintenance, and plan downtime.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, machine performance data, and any repairs or replacements.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote safe working practices among the team.
Recommend improvements to machine operation processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Train new staff members and team personnel on machine handling, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.
Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components for machine upkeep.
