Job Summary

The System Configurator is responsible for managing and upgrading the WSW SPEEDI product used to manage inbound EDI, ensuring the seamless loading, accessing, and verification of data from the AS400 onto DB2. This role also involves assisting with SharePoint management, maintaining PLM solutions, implementing configuration management governance in ServiceNow CMDB, and providing technical assistance and training to colleagues and partners. The position requires frequent travel to districts and health facilities for field level issue correction and monitoring report preparation. 

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the upgrade of the WSW SPEEDI product used to manage inbound EDI.
  2. Oversee the loading, accessing, and verification of data from the AS400 onto DB2.
  3. Assist with SharePoint by creating accounts, managing permissions, and resolving user interface issues both internally and externally.
  4. Maintain and improve PLM solutions, including user management, workflows, data security, and data loads.
  5. Implement configuration management governance and controls for configuration items in the ServiceNow configuration management database (CMDB).
  6. Collaborate with department managers to obtain additional information and interpret policies and procedures for reporting changes in product design.
  7. Develop interim quality assurance procedures for validating configuration changes requiring authorization and documentation of all requests for GL mapping changes.
  8. Provide technical assistance and training to colleagues and partners.
  9. Visit districts and health facilities monthly to correct field level issues and prepare monitoring reports.

 Required Qualification

  1. An advanced university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in computer science is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in health humanitarian work and information management systems.
  3. Familiarity with information systems is considered an asset.
  4. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is an asset.

 Skills or Expertise

  1. Proficiency in managing and upgrading EDI systems.
  2. Experience with data management on DB2 and AS400 platforms.
  3. Strong knowledge of SharePoint management.
  4. Expertise in PLM solutions maintenance and improvements.
  5. Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and configuration management governance.
  6. Ability to interpret policies and procedures for reporting changes in product design.
  7. Competence in developing quality assurance procedures.
  8. Excellent technical assistance and training skills.
  9. Willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
