Under the direct supervision of the Emergency Coordinator, EOC Sindh, and the oversight of the Programme Communication Specialist of the respective UNICEF Field Office, the incumbent will provide support services as outlined below:

Responsibilities:

Reporting and Analysis

  • Provide day-to-day reporting on the status of project implementation and analyze program activities.

Media and Publications Management

  • Develop and maintain an updated media information network for the respective province/region.
  • Coordinate and produce newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, project publications, draft correspondence, videos/audios, and other relevant materials.
  • Assist in managing PEI/EPI’s social media presence across various platforms.
  • Help develop a social media strategy for the program.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to develop, post, and boost content on social media platforms to maximize the program’s communication objectives.

Coordination and Event Management

  • Organize planning meetings with district/town health officials in collaboration with project staff.
  • Support project staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences, and field visits as required.

Partnership Development

  • Develop partnerships with individuals, groups, and organizations whose support is essential to ensuring advocacy and communication objectives for immunization.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Monitor the implementation of communication activities related to immunization and other relevant issues by reviewing progress and  identifying constraints through field visits.
  • Monitor and report on news items and events involving PEI/EPI activities.
  • Support Media Officer in coordination with press community.

Support and Coordination

  • Provide support to the PEI/EPI Focal Person for making accurate and effective presentations.
  • Maintain a steady flow of information on the PEI/EPI Project to partners, donors, and media.
  • Ensure the flow of information between the provincial office and the field to keep all field staff updated about project activities.

Representation and Reporting

  • Represent PEI/EPI at communication coordination meetings and brief staff about decisions and items under discussion during those meetings.
  • Consolidate and report information to other relevant UN agencies about PEI/EPI activities.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as required by the Provincial PEI/EPI Focal Person, which may involve other aspects of the program.

Performance Evaluation and Salary Release

  • The release of salary will be subject to the submission of a satisfactory performance evaluation report, which must be submitted on a monthly basis through the supervisor.
