ACCOUNTANT

Mian Brothers is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will have between two and five years of accounting experience, preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or distribution sectors. This role requires a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and proficiency with accounting and ERP software such as SAP, Oracle Financials, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and overseeing general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with applicable tax regulations. In this role, the Accountant will manage a dedicated team of 15 professionals. This responsibility demands excellent leadership and organizational skills to coordinate team efforts effectively. The candidate will also handle key financial tasks including managing distributor payments, customer collections, inventory reconciliation, and generating monthly financial reports and budgets. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are critical to maintain accuracy and efficiency in financial operations and compliance processes.
Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger management to maintain correct financial records.
Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets and monthly financial reports to support management decisions.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales tax and income tax requirements.
Manage distributor payments, customer collections, and inventory reconciliations to support operational efficiency.
Utilize accounting and ERP software systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
Lead and supervise a team of 15 accounting professionals, providing training, guidance, and performance management to enhance team productivity.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve internal controls and financial accuracy.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial transactions and information flow across the organization.
