WordPress Developer

Merlin Dash is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in WordPress theme and plugin development. This role requires proficiency in PHP, HTML5, and MySQL, along with a strong understanding of WordPress Plugin API and PHP MVC frameworks. Knowledge of AWS server management is essential to effectively handle server-related tasks. The working hours are from 9 PM to 6 AM, catering to specific operational needs. Candidates must possess good communication skills in English and reside in or near DHA Phase 1 to 6, Lahore.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins that meet client requirements and industry standards. Utilize PHP, HTML5, and MySQL to create responsive, efficient, and scalable WordPress solutions. Collaborate closely with team members to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities seamlessly. Optimize SQL queries and manage database performance to ensure fast loading times and reliability. Apply knowledge of WordPress Plugin API and PHP MVC frameworks to extend platform capabilities and customize features effectively.

Manage AWS server configurations related to WordPress deployments, ensuring secure and high-availability environments. Monitor server health, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates or patches. Participate in code reviews to guarantee code quality and adherence to best practices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide timely updates. Stay up to date with the latest WordPress developments, plugins, and security practices to maintain a robust website infrastructure.
