Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement project work plans and review periodically as deemed appropriate to address the needs of changing situations within the project scope.
  • Manage project resources and budget ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure justified division of labor among subordinates and apprise management periodically on the attainment of project outputs and outcomes.
  • Supervise field teams and support functions for timely provision of supplies, equipment, and tools at field teams; data collection and recording as well as risk identification and risk reduction at operational sites.
  • Monitor and evaluate project activities, identify issues and bottlenecks, recommend mitigation measures for improved performance ultimately impacting the success of the intervention.
  • Ensure synergy building and coordination with relevant stakeholders at the district and sub-district levels.
  • Supervise teams engaged at the field level in case of need for conflict resolution, mitigation of risks, and improved community engagement.
  • Conduct capacity building of staff in areas of community mobilization, data management, and report compilation in relation to project targets with the application of innovative approaches ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Collect data periodically, collate, analyze, and consolidate data. Track progress against the target milestones.
  • Compile monthly and project completion reports and data matrix.
  • Additional assignments as assigned by the line Manager.

Essential requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social sciences or bachelor's with adequate experience in health and nutrition-related projects.
  • Adequate experience of community-based interventions which may include health promotion and prevention, immunization, WASH, and food distribution.
  • Adequate experience of project management and capacity building in emergency situations.
