Assistant Manager IT

The Assistant Manager IT at MENZIES-RAS Pvt Ltd plays a crucial role in designing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure across multiple sites. This position focuses on ensuring the smooth operation and security of computer networks, server management, cybersecurity incident handling, and supporting hardware and software upgrades. The role requires close collaboration with the headquarters team to assist with various IT-related tasks, including network troubleshooting, database maintenance, and overseeing access controls. The Assistant Manager IT also coordinates with external parties such as airlines and vendors to ensure seamless operation of critical systems like SITA Messages, Amadeus, and DCS/FIS. In this position, there is an emphasis on maintaining cybersecurity by implementing regular security updates and backups. The role demands awareness of virtualization technologies such as VMWare, ESXI, and VSPHERE, as well as handling Cisco Meraki network appliances and passive network infrastructure. The Assistant Manager IT is responsible for keeping detailed records of network configurations and contributing to achieving company goals by tracking performance objectives. While this role does not involve managing a team directly, the individual assists with identifying training needs and motivating IT staff. Adherence to safety, security, and compliance protocols forms a key part of the responsibilities, aligning with the companys health and safety policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Design and manage the organizations IT infrastructure across multiple locations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Assist the headquarters team with various IT tasks and provide user-focused support services.
Maintain and upgrade the computer network, IT hardware, and software to optimize performance.
Administer server and core network device configurations, troubleshooting, and support for hardware and software applications.
Monitor system security by applying regular antivirus updates, Windows security patches, and data backup procedures.
Coordinate and troubleshoot operational communications with airlines, including SITA Messages, Amadeus, and DCS/FIS systems.
Serve as the key point of contact for IT-related issues involving all divisions, airlines, clients, and vendors.
Develop contingency plans to secure alternative systems to ensure business continuity in the event of network disruptions or disasters.
Provide database backup and maintenance support, assist in report design, and generate monthly performance reports.
Install updated server operating systems and administer SQL Server environments efficiently.
Utilize virtualization platforms such as VMWare, ESXI, and VSPHERE for networking servers.
Manage user access to the network and local computers to maintain security and operational integrity.
Administer core routers, including port forwarding and failover arrangements to ensure network resilience.
Deploy and manage Cisco Meraki network appliances, including switches and access points, maintaining passive network infrastructure.
Handle cybersecurity incident management and enforce wireless network security protocols.
Demonstrate understanding and practical experience in cloud-based applications, operating systems, domain services, office suites, and conferencing tools.
Maintain detailed records of network configurations, peripheral specifications, problems encountered, and solutions applied.
Track and report progress against weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual IT objectives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Identify performance and training needs within the IT department and motivate staff to deliver high-quality results.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of IT, Station Head, or Technical Manager to meet company timelines and objectives.
Comply fully with safety, security, and compliance policies, taking responsibility for personal and collective workplace safety.
Participate in training programs and adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
