Medical Devices Pvt Ltd. seeks a skilled Network Administrator with at least 5 years of experience to oversee and manage the IT infrastructure operations across its factory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, administering, and maintaining LAN/WAN environments, managing switching and routing equipment, Wi-Fi networks, and CCTV connectivity to ensure seamless and secure network performance. This role requires designing and implementing scalable and robust network models that support factory expansion and improvement projects, including capacity planning, network segmentation, redundancy measures, and secure network access.
As a Network Administrator, you will manage server environments, storage solutions, email services, and VPN/remote access infrastructure while conducting routine health checks and proactive maintenance to ensure high availability and performance. You will monitor network availability and performance, quickly troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues, and enforce cybersecurity policies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls, authentication, patching, and incident response. Leading a team of two, you will also coordinate hardware installation, preventive maintenance with vendors, and oversee inventory management. Your role will include managing OS/software standardization and patch management processes and preparing periodic performance, security, and asset reports critical for operational excellence and procurement decisions.
Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switching, and routing networks within the factory environment to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and network performance.
- Design and implement network expansion plans, including capacity planning, network segmentation, redundancy, and secure access models to support facility growth and security requirements.
- Perform continuous network monitoring to track availability and performance, quickly diagnose issues, and restore network services with minimal downtime.
- Manage server infrastructure, storage systems, email services, VPN, and remote access solutions, ensuring operational health and efficient resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain strong cybersecurity controls such as firewalls, endpoint protection, user access control, authentication protocols, system patching, and incident response procedures to protect organizational assets.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support across departments, resolving complex network and IT infrastructure problems using expert troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
- Manage hardware installation, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and vendor relations to ensure timely service and spare part availability, safeguarding continuous network operations.
- Standardize operating system and software deployment processes, coordinate patch management, and maintain accurate technical documentation including IP addressing schemes, VLAN configurations, network topology, and inventory records.
- Generate and deliver periodic reports on network performance, uptime, security compliance, and IT asset management to support management and procurement activities.
- Lead and mentor a team of two IT technicians, fostering collaboration, task delegation, and knowledge sharing to maintain efficient IT service delivery.
