He/she will be giving oversight to Pharmacy operations in a managerial role to get the real feel of the data being generated and assess the areas for improvement.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative duties, such as required liaison and feedback/visit report to Pharmacies as required.
  • Ensure that timely reports pertaining to pharmacy management are sent to HOD.
  • To communicate regularly with health authorities i.e. COs, 2Ics, MOICs and report to Head Office regarding Pharmacy matters.
  • Propose and recommend new business development initiatives and programs to increase Pharmacy profits and sales.
  • To meet inventory and LP bill targets.
  • Oversee records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure adequate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations to meet all inspection and other requirements governing pharmacy operations
  • Develop and maintain pharmacy dashboards on pharmacy productivity.
  • Closely coordinate with HO departments including Pharmacy and Finance, HR, Pharmacy Operations and Administration for day to day operational matters.
  • Encourage professionalism, productivity, performance, and efficiency of all pharmacy staff.
  • Create, maintain, update and enforce lean pharmacy standards in pharmacy workflow.
  • Strive to enhance customer / patient care and satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely evaluations of pharmacy staff members, including performing annual reviews for direct reports.
  • Facilitate corrective and disciplinary actions of pharmacy staff. Confer with HO Pharmacy Department, Director Pharmacies, GM HR on all employee disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate pharmacy staff training (initial orientation and ongoing pharmacy team member development).
  • Delegate assignments and committee appointments for pharmacy staff including protocols for pharmacy staff.
  • Push and follow up with pharmacies to achieve their sales targets.
  • Ensure proper handling of incident and/or accident reports in an eventuality.
  • Provide supervision and coaching for pharmacy managers and staff.
  • Assist in creation of short and long term pharmacy strategic goals for pharmacy program development.
  • Attend management team meetings, and participate in the relevant committee meetings as determined by Director Pharmacies.
  • Participate in the development of field operation strategies

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum Min 8 - 12 years’ experience (4 Years Managerial Role) dealing with Administrative / Pharmacy Operational matters in a Health care setup.
