Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a factory or industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems and equipment to support smooth and efficient production processes. This position requires a proactive mindset focused on reducing downtime and enhancing equipment reliability through well-planned maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and supervise both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of machinery, including compressors, pumps, boilers, chillers, conveyors, gearboxes, and production machines.
- Detect equipment faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective measures.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules while keeping detailed and accurate maintenance records.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to avoid disruption of output.
- Oversee technicians and contractors during maintenance and installation work to ensure quality and safety.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, calibration, and condition monitoring of machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of critical components and reduce downtime risks.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or factory setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to manage teams effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience in manufacturing sectors such as FMCG, textile, cement, food processing, or chemicals is highly preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs70,000 to Rs90,000. The role demands hands-on involvement in maintenance operations to ensure operational excellence.
