McMaster Supply Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Process Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process auditing principles and methodologies, with at least two years of relevant experience. This role requires proficiency in process mapping, risk assessment, and compliance auditing to ensure that internal processes adhere to regulatory standards and company policies. The Process Auditor will work closely with various departments to evaluate internal controls, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement. In this position, the Process Auditor will also manage a small team of one person, guiding and supporting them in conducting audits and implementing process enhancements. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to collaborate with stakeholders and present findings. Proficiency in ERP systems and relevant software is essential to efficiently execute audit processes and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough process audits by mapping workflows, assessing risks, and reviewing compliance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate internal controls to ensure processes are effective, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze audit data to identify trends, issues, and root causes of process deviations or failures.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to improve processes and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads and process owners to communicate audit results and support implementation of improvements.
  • Lead and manage a team of one auditor by providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance audit capabilities and ensure quality standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, audit methodologies, and regulatory changes to apply best practices in all audits.
  • Utilize ERP systems and audit software to collect data, document procedures, and track progress of audit activities.
  • Participate in risk assessments to proactively identify potential compliance gaps and operational risks within business processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements based on audit insights and process evaluations.
