In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching truck drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of the trucking industry, including the types of freight, equipment, and regulations (DOT, NAFTA, federal and state standards)
- Knowledge of 26ft Box trucks, 53’ trucks, OTR, FMCSA
- Proficiency in using computer software and applications, such as Microsoft Office, dispatching software, GPS, and electronic logging devices
- Receive and process incoming orders from customers
- Coordinate with truck drivers to schedule pick-up and delivery times
- Monitor driver progress and provide updates to customers as needed
- Communicate with drivers and customers to resolve any issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Work closely with the operations team to optimize routes and maximize efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to all stakeholders
