Provide leadership and technical support to maximize throughput and efficiency. Utilize a team of Supervisors, Line-Leaders, Mechanics, and Associates to ensure the delivery of quality products. Develop cross-trained team to provide maximum flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Lead and direct the daily activities of the Production Department.
Make sound operational decisions quickly based on limited information availability.
Review and accept weekly production schedule in conjunction with Planning Manager.
Maximize line efficiency through line balancing, automation, and sequencing thereby reducing per unit costs.
Create and approve Operation Sheets with assistance from BOM/F&A Coordinator.
Lead, participate, and be EWL senior representative during customer line trials.
Monitor, report, and improve downtime, scrap rates and pcs/mhr.
Maintain GMP and compliance working procedures.
Ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
Hire, train, discipline, and terminate staff as needed.
Other duties as assigned by Seniors.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering (Industrial, Packaging or Mechanical) or Supply Chain.
Minimum 3 - 5 year’s supervisory experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
Creative problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude.
5S & Lean knowledge and exposure (previous training a plus).
Superior written & verbal skills (Spanish a plus).
Advanced excel, math & data organizing skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Able to work independently & extended hours as needed.
