Inventory Manager is a crucial position in the Retail industry. Their main responsibility is to oversee and manage the inventory of products in a store or warehouse. This includes tracking inventory levels, ordering new products, and handling returns or exchanges. As the Inventory Manager, you will also be responsible for keeping a close eye on sales trends and forecasting future demand for products.

You will need to work closely with other departments, including sales and purchasing, to ensure that the store has enough stock to meet customer demand.
Manage the inventory levels of products in the retail store.
Monitor and manage inventory turnover in the store to avoid overstocking or understocking.
Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and reconcile discrepancies.
Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
Manages schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
Communicate with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
Inspect the levels of business supplies to identify shortages
Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
Analyze data to anticipate/Forecast future needs and inventory requirements
Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
Resolving issues regarding shipped orders
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Working with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes
