Long Life Surgical Industry seeks an Associate Engineer specializing in Mechanical Design to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 3D modeling, and technical drawing and drafting. This role involves creating and revising detailed mechanical drawings to support the production team, ensuring accuracy and clarity for manufacturing processes. The candidate should have a solid understanding of mechanical technology principles, be proficient in software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities. This position requires at least two years of relevant experience and does not include team management responsibilities.
In this role, the Associate Engineer collaborates closely with production and workshop teams to develop and implement design solutions, including jigs, fixtures, and basic tooling. The engineer contributes to maintaining comprehensive design records and manages drawing revisions to facilitate continual improvement of production workflows. The position demands attention to detail, the ability to interpret manufacturing processes, and the flexibility to support multiple aspects of mechanical design operations within a surgical industry environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and modify complex mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to ensure precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Support the production department by providing clear design clarifications and technical drawings to facilitate smooth manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and basic tooling that improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate effectively with production and workshop teams to implement engineering designs and resolve any technical issues during production stages.
- Maintain an organized system of design records and manage drawing revisions to support traceability and compliance with quality standards.
- Interpret manufacturing and workshop processes to create practical and manufacturable mechanical designs.
- Communicate design concepts and modifications clearly and professionally within multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute insights to improve current mechanical engineering practices within the organization.
