You will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth importation process of goods into our company or organization.
Your responsibilities will revolve around coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs officials, and internal teams to ensure the timely and efficient arrival of imported goods. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of import regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Documentation: Assist in the preparation and processing of import documentation, including purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs clearance documents. Ensure accuracy and compliance with import regulations.
Supplier Coordination: Communicate with overseas suppliers to obtain necessary documentation, such as certificates of origin and product specifications. Ensure that shipments are prepared and dispatched according to schedule.
Customs Clearance: Work closely with customs brokers or agents to facilitate the clearance of imported goods through customs. Provide required documentation, resolve issues or discrepancies, and coordinate inspections, if necessary.
Shipping Coordination: Coordinate the transportation of imported goods from the port of entry to the company's facilities or designated warehouses. Arrange inland transportation and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Management: Monitor incoming shipments and update inventory records to reflect the receipt of goods. Ensure accurate stock levels and timely availability of products for distribution or production.
Compliance: Stay updated on import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements governing the importation of goods. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tariff classifications, duty rates, and import restrictions.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to import shipments, such as delays in customs clearance, damaged or missing goods, or discrepancies in documentation. Minimize disruptions to operations.
Communication: Liaise with internal teams, such as procurement, logistics, and finance, to coordinate import activities. Provide updates on shipment status, delivery schedules, and any issues or concerns.
Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately enter import-related data into the company's systems or databases. Generate reports on import volumes, costs, and compliance metrics to support decision-making and analysis.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of Prior experience in logistics, import/export, or supply chain management roles preferred. However, candidates with relevant internships or coursework may also be considered.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
Familiarity with documentation requirements for importation, including purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs clearance documents.
Knowledge of shipping coordination processes, including transportation logistics, freight forwarding, and inland transportation.
Understanding of inventory management principles and practices, including inventory tracking and stock level management.
Awareness of import-related compliance issues, such as tariffs, duty rates, and import restrictions.
