We are seeking an experienced IT Technician with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining IT systems, including CCTV systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software systems, as well as managing and supporting surveillance infrastructure. This role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team to ensure smooth IT and security operations.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Hardware and Software Support:

  • Provide troubleshooting, support, and maintenance for desktop PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and CCTV cameras.
  • Install, configure, and update software and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, etc.).

Network Administration:

  • Support network operations by ensuring proper connectivity, performing diagnostics, and maintaining network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and supporting CCTV systems over IP networks.
  • Troubleshoot network-related issues and help with the setup of VPNs and other network configurations.

CCTV System Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain IP and analog CCTV systems, cameras, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CCTV hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor and manage video storage systems and ensure video data is securely backed up.
  • Set up remote access and viewing for CCTV feeds.
  • Assist in the design and deployment of security camera systems, ensuring proper camera placement, and system functionality.

System and Server Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system backups, monitoring server performance, updating firmware, and ensuring security patches are applied in a timely manner.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal users for IT-related issues, including CCTV system troubleshooting.
  • Provide remote and on-site support for hardware/software problems.• Document and track issues and resolutions via ticketing systems.

Security & Data Protection:

  • Monitor and implement IT security protocols, including antivirus, encryption, user access controls, and surveillance system security.
  • Ensure CCTV systems are properly secured to prevent unauthorized access.• Assist with security audits and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Installation and Configuration:

  • Set up workstations, configure peripheral devices, install the necessary software, and ensure all IT systems—including CCTV systems—are functioning optimally for end-users.

Training and Support:

  • Provide user training and guidance on best practices for software, hardware, cybersecurity, and the operation of CCTV systems.
  • Assist employees with system and software usage, as well as CCTV camera and software management.

Collaboration and Project Involvement:

  • Work closely with other IT team members to complete larger projects (e.g., infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, or integrations).
  • Assist in deploying new technology and services, including CCTV and surveillance systems.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure, software inventories, CCTV camera placements, and network configurations.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures for CCTV systems and prepare regular reports on system performance and incidents.
