LINRCO seeks a dedicated Grocery Worker with five years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills and a thorough understanding of inventory management. This role involves maintaining product quality, ensuring cleanliness and sanitization, and adhering to safety compliance standards. The Grocery Worker effectively uses inventory tracking software, applies the FIFO methodology, and monitors perishable goods to preserve freshness and reduce waste. While not managing a team, the candidate will collaborate with colleagues to support store operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers courteously and assist them with product inquiries and purchases, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Manage and replenish stock on shelves using the FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology to ensure product freshness and minimize spoilage.
- Monitor expiration dates of perishable goods proactively and remove items that do not meet quality standards.
- Use inventory tracking software to update stock levels accurately and report discrepancies to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of the grocery environment, including shelves, coolers, and storage areas, following safety and hygiene regulations.
- Comply with store safety protocols to protect both customers and staff, ensuring a safe shopping and working environment.
- Support inventory management processes by receiving deliveries, organizing stock rooms, and labeling products correctly.
- Provide accurate product information to customers, assisting with selections based on their needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize store layout and shelf organization for ease of access and attractive presentation.
- Participate in ongoing training to update product knowledge, customer service techniques, and compliance requirements.
