The Camel Embryo Transfer (ET) Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of the embryo transfer program, including donor stimulation, embryo collection, evaluation, preservation, and transfer to recipients. This role requires strong expertise in camel reproductive biology and hands-on experience with reproductive technologies to improve breeding efficiency and genetic progress.

Key Responsibilities

1.  Embryo Transfer Procedures

  • Perform all stages of camel embryo transfer (ET) including:

           * Donor synchronization and superovulation

           Follicular monitoring using ultrasound

           * Embryo flushing and collection

           * Embryo grading, handling, and storage (fresh or frozen)

           * Embryo transfer into synchronized recipients

  • Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare during all procedures.

2. Reproductive Management

  • Monitor reproductive cycles of donor and recipient camels.
  • Conduct pregnancy diagnosis using ultrasound.
  • Maintain detailed reproductive and performance records for each camel.
  • Assist with artificial insemination (AI) where needed.

3. Laboratory & Technical Work

  • Handle embryo processing in the lab under sterile conditions.
  • Manage freezing, thawing, and cryopreservation procedures.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment (microscopes, incubators,ET tools).

4. Health & Welfare

  • Work closely with veterinarians to ensure proper health management.
  • Identify reproductive disorders and recommend treatments.
  • Ensure hygiene, biosecurity, and compliance with farm protocols.

5. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate logs for all ET procedures.
  • Prepare ET performance reports and improvement recommendations.
  • Assist in genetic improvement planning and breeding program strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Reproduction, Animal Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in camel embryo transfer or large-animal ET (camel preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of camel reproductive physiology and reproductive technologies.
  • Experience in ultrasound use for reproductive monitoring.
  • Competence in laboratory techniques for embryo handling and evaluation.
